Eligibility — Where Should My Player Play?

ETL is a feeder league: each program feeds its local high school and limits players to that high school's boundaries. In short — your player plays for the program that feeds the public high school your family's home address is zoned for. Use the tools below to find your high school, then match it to your ETL program.

Step 1

Find your zoned high school by address

Each district runs its own boundary lookup. Find the district that covers your home, then check which high school your address is zoned for.

Bellevue SD

Look up my school by address →

Feeds: Bellevue, Newport

Northshore SD

Look up my school by address →

Lake Washington SD

Snoqualmie Valley SD

Renton SD

Unofficial map — confirm with district →

Renton SD's official locator is currently unavailable. This is the district's own unofficial Google boundary map — it states “NOT an official school locator; your actual placement may differ.” Confirm with the district: (425) 204-2333 or rsd.registration@rentonschools.us.

Renton SD school boundary map →

Feeds: Hazen

Issaquah SD

Confirm with Issaquah SD →

Issaquah SD has no online address locator — confirm your school through the page above or by emailing the district.

Unofficial: Issaquah SD doesn't offer an online address lookup. For a quick unofficial read, real-estate listing sites such as Zillow or Redfin usually show a home's assigned high school — but that's third-party data that can be out of date, so always confirm your placement with Issaquah SD before relying on it.

Feeds: Issaquah, Liberty, Skyline

Cedar Park Christian (CPC)

Cedar Park Christian is a private school — eligibility is by enrollment, not home address. Contact the league if this is your program.

Open Enrollment & Choice Schools

New for 2026-27

Attending a school outside your home boundary? Two routes let your player still play ETL — but each one settles your home program with a single, lasting decision.

You choose your home program one time, and one time only. That program stays your player's home program for as long as they attend the school and participate through ETL. Choose carefully — it is not changed season to season.

Open Enrollment

If the player attends a school via Open Enrollment:

  • a. School enrollment and high school feeder path are verified via Skyward or an equivalent district system.
  • b. The Program Director must register the player as an Open Enrollment participant at the time of roster submission.
  • c. The player and family will choose, one time and one time only, which program they will play for. That program will be their home program for as long as they continue to attend the school and participate in Open Enrollment for ETL; or

Choice School

If the player attends a "Choice School":

  • a. School enrollment and high school feeder path are verified via Skyward or an equivalent district system.
  • b. Choice School program participation must be documented at the time of roster submission.
  • c. The player and family will choose, one time and one time only, which program they will play for. That program will be their home program for as long as they continue to attend the school and participate in the Choice School program for ETL.

Feeder schools by high school

Tap a high school to see the middle and elementary schools that feed it, or search for your school by name. This is a naming guide — your home address is what officially determines your zoned high school (Step 1).

* These schools feed more than one high school depending on your home address, so we don't list a single program for them. Your home address determines your program — use the Step 1 district lookup above to find your zoned high school, then match it in Step 2. Playing for a different program is not a free choice: it requires an eligibility waiver approved by the ETL Executive Board (waivers are extremely rare, and a release from your current program is required if you are coming from another ETL program).

The rules

Your player is eligible without a waiver through any one of these four routes:

  1. 1.Residence. You live inside the boundary of the public high school the program represents — or, for Cedar Park Christian, your player is currently enrolled in the elementary/middle program feeding that high school.
  2. 2.Employment. A parent or legal guardian works for the school or district in a way that lets your child attend, and your player currently attends school within the feeder program's boundaries.
  3. 3.Open enrollment. As described above under Open Enrollment & Choice Schools, including the one-time, binding program choice.
  4. 4.Choice school. As described above under Open Enrollment & Choice Schools, including the one-time, binding program choice.

If none of these applies, an eligibility waiver must be approved by the ETL Executive Board — and waivers are extremely rare. A player may play up a grade but never down.

Home-schooled players

A home-schooled player is eligible by residence, exactly like any neighborhood player: they play for the program that feeds the public high school your home address is zoned for.

Because there's no school enrollment record to point to, your program director provides one proof of address — a utility bill, property-tax statement, or water bill in a parent's or guardian's name — instead of an enrollment screenshot. Grade is declared by your family and confirmed by the director. Your director handles this on your behalf; parents don't upload anything.

One more thing

This page is a guide to help you understand where your player should play. It is not an official eligibility ruling. Official eligibility is established and verified each season by the ETL Executive Board (Player Agent) through the roster and documentation process. If your situation is unusual — a private school, a district-staff exception, a boundary that recently changed, or a middle school that feeds more than one high school — contact the league before assuming.
